Project Overview:

In Uíge, one of the largest electrification projects in Angola is currently underway.

The program includes more than 600 km of transmission lines and the construction of 9 new substations, covering 23 municipalities and 44 communes in the province.

This project will create 10,000 new household connections and public lighting systems, bringing electricity to thousands of families and driving social, agricultural, and industrial development in the region.

About the Role:

Mitrelli is seeking a senior Project Manager with strong experience in HV/VHV Overhead Transmission Lines (OHL) to lead the full execution of an energy infrastructure project in a remote site location in Angola.

This is a fully site-based, hands-on role, responsible for planning, execution, commissioning and close-out of OHL projects, working closely with engineering teams, subcontractors and the client. The role reports to the Project Director and requires strong technical judgement, assertive leadership and daily presence on site.

This position is suitable for professionals who thrive in field-driven, complex and remote environments and who take full ownership of project delivery.

Responsible for:

• Lead end-to-end project execution: planning, cost control, scheduling, risk and change management
• Manage budget, cash flow, forecasts and progress reporting
• Coordinate and supervise engineering teams, subcontractors and site activities
• Oversee construction, quality, HSE and commissioning activities
• Review and approve OHL technical documentation, layouts and materials
• Participate in FAT / SAT and site quality inspections
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations and contractual requirements
• Act as main interface with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and client
• Lead and manage the Project Management Team (PMT) on site
