About The Position

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced, and entrepreneurial Head of Group Controlling. You will report directly to the CFO in this key leadership role.

RESPONSABILITIES

Strategic and Business Partnering

• Partner with senior management to further develop the steering logic and related KPIs for the project portfolio and the consolidated view of the Group

• Develop and provide financial insights, recommendations, and analysis to support the Group's strategic direction and decision-making

• Conduct thorough continuous analysis and together with management refine strategic plans

• Support strategic projects, strategic investment cases, and long-term value creation

Financial Analysis and Performance Management

• Oversee monthly analysis of the project portfolio, identifying key insights and opportunities to drive growth and profitability

• Collaborate with management to implement targeted action plans based on financial insights

• Further develop and drive continuous improvement in FP&A reporting processes, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs, with a strong focus on revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency metrics

• Collaborate with the local controlling and other finance teams to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and timeliness for all FP&A reporting

• Drive optimization of the Group's cost base, advising on cost allocation methodologies and other cost-management strategies

Forecasting, Budgeting, and Financial Modelling

• Lead the Group-wide budgeting and establish an intra-year forecasting process

• Collaborate with the Group’s top management to model revenue and expenses, ensuring forecasts reflect business dynamics

• Develop and enhance group financial models to support the Group's growth, covering revenue projections, operating costs, capital requirements, and liquidity

• Implement KPI frameworks and continuously review and refine KPIs to align with evolving business goals

• Ensure timely, insightful, and high-quality reporting for senior leadership, and collaborate with the CFO to provide reports to the Board of Directors

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop a small, international team of Controlling professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring ongoing professional development

• Cultivate a collaborative and innovative environment, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in processes and reporting

General Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial and regulatory trends, ensuring the Controlling function adheres to all regulatory and compliance requirements

Requirements

YOUR EXPERTISE

• Proven experience in a senior FP&A and business partnering role, ideally within a project management company

• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of providing actionable insights and recommendations

• Excellent understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting

• Experience with project portfolio analysis (project controlling) and reporting

• Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on professional development and performance management

• Proactive and open to change and willingness to re-engineer and change processes

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, including confidence to question and challenge

• Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools (Tagetik, BI), along with strong Excel skills

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting / controlling / finance or equivalent

• Business fluent in English is a must
