At the Rwanda Inclusive FinTech Forum – Feb 24-26 – Haim Taib-, founder and president of Mitrelli, delivered a keynote grounded in tangible, real-world change.
Drawing on his extensive experience, Taib emphasized that financial inclusion is a practical, transformative force for economic growth across Africa. He pointed out how fintech, when scaled effectively, bridges critical gaps in access to financial services and empowers underserved communities. For instance, it supports farmers in remote villages, small shop owners, and young founders, thereby narrowing the divide between cities and rural areas.
Speaking of scaling, Taib highlighted the immense potential of fintech along the Lobito Corridor —a region where access to financial services and markets can truly transform lives. Fintech is the tie that connects the farmer to the market, the businessman to capital, and the family to opportunity.
Taib stressed that technology’s true value lies not in its novelty but in its ability to create pathways for new opportunities. He emphasized that by investing in scalable, life-changing technologies and executing transformative mega projects, we can unlock Africa’s vast potential and ensure that economic progress benefits everyone—a mission that Mitrelli remains fully committed to across the continent.
