The Huambo Stadium Daniel Cassoma Lutucuta is now a reality.
Rising with presence, modern in design and built for the future, it is yet another international-standard sports infrastructure project delivered by Mitrelli, one that fills us with pride and reinforces our conviction in what we are capable of delivering and the impact our projects create.
On 26 February 2026, we witnessed far more than the inauguration of a stadium; we witnessed a powerful affirmation of delivery capability, excellence in execution, resilience, and commitment.
In the presence of distinguished Government officials, at a ceremony presided over by His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports, we celebrated the realization of a strategic vision for the development of national sport and the empowerment of Angola’s youth.
Behind every metre built, every technical requirement met, and every deadline achieved were teams who faced real technical, logistical, operational, and human challenges. Delivering a project of this magnitude demands absolute rigor, adaptability, resilience under pressure, and continuous alignment across multiple workstreams.
An infrastructure of this scale does not happen by chance. It is the result of committed teams, exacting professionals, and a culture driven by excellence.
To our teams across all areas of operation, including those who contributed both directly and indirectly throughout the project, we extend our sincere appreciation for the dedication and perseverance demonstrated throughout every phase of the project. Your professionalism and commitment were instrumental in achieving the expected outcome.
This project, which fills us all with pride and once again reinforces our sense of duty fulfilled, was designed to serve generations, foster young talent, stimulate the local economy, and position sport as a vehicle for inclusion and social cohesion.
With a capacity of 10,000 spectators, a natural grass pitch built to FIFA/UEFA standards, an athletics track, medical and anti-doping facilities, technical areas, media and broadcasting zones, VIP sections, and commercial areas, this infrastructure places Huambo firmly on the map of major national and international competitions.
Yet the true value of this stadium lies not only in its concrete, architecture, or technical standards. It lies in its impact, in the opportunities it will create the lives it will transform, and the young people who will dare to dream bigger here.
The Huambo Stadium is more than a completed project. It is a legacy built. It stands as further proof that we transform vision into reality, and infrastructure into tangible impact and sustainable development.
