Preserving the past, Preparing for the Future
Inauguration of the new Art & Culture Foundation Center in Luanda, designed to preserve and augment Angola’s traditional and contemporary culture. This new cultural center features a 300 person capacity amphitheater and offers various facilities, including the Foundation’s Tamar Golan Gallery and Escola de Música.
The Center includes specialized training rooms for music and dance as well as capoeira and yoga, the plastic arts and crafts. It also has computer rooms, a carpentry workshop and a children’s library. The Center’s community garden encourages youngsters to understand and respect the value of family farming and the importance of organic food.
Hundreds of children, adolescents and women are enrolled in the Center’s diverse activities.
