Mango Agropark

The Mango Agropark in Korhogo is a large-scale agricultural initiative designed to transform Côte d'Ivoire’s mango industry, enhancing both local food security and export potential. This multi-site project integrates modern facilities for export, processing, , and farming techniques to reduce post-harvest losses, improve mango quality, and provide long-term economic benefits. By upgrading existing orchards and increasing the local marketing capabilities, the Agropark bridges the gap between the existing mango production and global markets creating a sustainable, high-value mango supply chain.

Project
challenges

Mango production in Côte d’Ivoire is a key agricultural sector, yet inefficiencies in post-harvest handling, limited export-quality produce, and post-harvest losses hinder its full potential. The mango industry in Côte d’Ivoire struggle with outdated agronomic practices, poor access to modern storage and processing facilities, and a lack of structured market access. Without intervention, much of the mango production remains underutilized, impacting both local food security and economic opportunities.

Our solution

The project is divided into two key operational sites:

  1. Post-Harvest Processing Hub – A state-of-the-art agro-industrial facility dedicated to sorting, packing, cold storage, and processing mangoes into dried fruit and frozen cubes, ensuring maximum utilization and quality.
  2. Mango Orchard Upgrading Center – A cutting-edge agronomic hub that serves as a demonstration and training center, equipping farmers with modern cultivation techniques to improve yields, optimize resource use, and enhance overall production efficiency.

By integrating advanced processing technology, agronomic innovation, and farmer training, the Agropark significantly boosts mango production efficiency, reduces post-harvest losses, and increases the proportion of export-quality mangoes, positioning Côte d’Ivoire as a competitive force in the global mango market.
