Construction Project Manager

The role

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished Project Manager to supervise and manage large scale projects for our education subsidiary in Senegal.

The PM will manage large scale projects including construction, equipment, logistics.

Responsibilities

Management supervision of all the components within the project: construction, equipment, trains, logistics.

Management and compliance with the project budget, schedules and required qualities.

Management of the office staff and teams in the field.

Working with and supervising subcontractors.

Ongoing work with a project control team (budgetary and operational).

Writing periodic reports for management and the client.

Representation to the client.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in similar and large scale projects in Africa.

Civil engineer or industrial engineer – Mandatory.

French Native speaker, Fluent English – a must!

Deep knowledge and experience in negotiation of contracts.

Outstanding performer with a broad vision and capable of dealing with fine details.

Mission oriented, driven to succeed and achieves mission objectives and goals.

High management skills.

Honest, trustworthy and reliable.

Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, in uncertainty and changing conditions.

Creative with problem solving skills.

Advanced knowledge of computer systems: ERP, Office, SMS Project, AutoCAD etc.
