IT Project Manager – SW projects

The role

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing all day-to-day project activities to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Daily activities include, to plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed always making sure the commitment with company’s goals and vision.

Responsibilities

Determine define project scope and objectives.

Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively.

manage Client and Suppliers to assure all project deliverables are executed in line with the plan and exceed client expectations.

Prepare, drive, and manage an overall project plan to achieve schedule and budgetary targets.

Monitor progress, adjust as needed, establish measurement and reporting framework and provide project updates consistently to various stakeholders.

Highlight potential risks or malfunctions and act proactively to resolve issues.

Team leader.

Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements and track project costs to meet the budget.

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure progress.

Requirements

Work Experience in a similar position of 3 minimum years.

Fluent Portuguese and English – mandatory.

Experience in managing SW development projects, in all its phases, including System Analysis and Design, Development, QA and Deployment.

Experience in Design and Implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects.

Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or business.

PMP/ prince 2 Agile certifications are a plus.

Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline within multicultural environments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, MS-Project, Visio and PowerPoint).

Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
