The 11 de Novembro National Stadium suffered from structural and functional degradation, compromising user experience, safety, and operational reliability. Key components such as public seating, lighting systems, and sanitary facilities were outdated, and urgent intervention was needed to preserve the stadium’s national significance.
Mitrelli led the rehabilitation project with a focus on sustainability, quality, and speed. The project involved removing and replacing damaged seats with reinforced models, modernizing VIP and press facilities, upgrading MEP systems (lighting, sound, CCTV, HVAC, and data), and ensuring accessibility and comfort for athletes, officials, and the public. Temporary installations were used to ensure continuity during works, and tight coordination with government stakeholders ensured compliance and alignment.
